kirjasto means library in finnish. originally i designed these carpets together with the architect of the central library in lucerne. the aim was to show strong colour combinations that are not sensitive to soiling. voilà! other colour combinations are easily possible.

nine years after designing my the first carpet, the prototype of this series in light colours was created.
i decided to give it my name: anna.

the papri carpets are woven from paper cords (40%) and cotton bands (60%). this gives them a beautiful longitudinal structure. despite their paper content, these carpets can be easily scrubbed and washed.

carpet with three coloured areas. osio can be discreet, but also colourful. we often weave it in large sizes for the living room.

• muva rugs are characterised by their simplicity. a single broad stripe, placed asymmetrically, gives the rug elegance. muva works best when only the hem at the end of the rug lends a touch of colour.

uusi is simple yet colourful. we often weave uusi for the bathroom. here you can see some examples. countless colour combinations are possible.

ripsi carpets are delicately patterned and woven in two colours.

yksi and kaksi rugs are simple and beautiful. you can combine them with linen cords, but they can also be woven from pure cotton. if you would like a rug that fits everywhere and discreetly adapts to its surroundings, yksi and kaksi are ideal.

every carpet can be produced in the most different colour combinations. the examples you see here are only suggestions and possibilities. precisely because your own taste influences it, every carpet becomes unique.

as the name suggests, the carpet is plaid. plaid is woven in two colours and is the only carpet with longitudinal stripes.

at least four colors imbue this carpet with its radiant look. also suitable for kitchen and entryway

the delicately striped carpets are woven in two variants: in 100% cotton or in 50% cotton and 50% linen. the subtle pinstripe pattern can be combined in multiple colors.
